HERE TODAY

The International Contemporary Art Exhibition

The major international contemporary art exhibition Here Today explored the current state of our environment through a number of diverse perspectives and media including painting, installation, wallpaper, sound, video, dance, music, sculpture and photography.

With over 50 internationally-celebrated artists and emerging thinkers contributing, visitors were encouraged to instigate important change to help our planet. The show itself was divided into eight separate chapters; from the Human Footprint, which explored the devastating ecological impacts of over-consumption, mass consumerism and waste, to the Poaching Crisis that exposed our current extinction crisis.

The polar bear was another popular motif, symbolising the critical effects of global warming on the natural world, and the importance in developing innovative and sustainable measures to tackle these issues.

It was a remarkable event that cemented artwork as as an evocative and emotive force for real change.
